Here's a quick Roast Beef, Gravy, and Mashed Potatoes recipe you can make using our Heat-&-Eat Bistek Tagalog!
Prep time: 40 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Yield: 4 to 5 servings
1 500g pack The Good Choices Bistek Tagalog, thawed
2 tablespoons vegan butter (we used @nuttelexspread buttery with olive oil)
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon liquid seasoning or liquid aminos (we used @7grainspantry skinny seasoning)
1/3 cup water
1/2 tsp dried rosemary
2-3 cups broccoli florets, steamed
1 lemon, sliced into wedges
For the mashed potatoes
4 medium sized potatoes, boiled whole with skin on until tender (about 30 minutes on high heat), peeled, and mashed
1/3 cup vegan butter
1/3 cup vegan unsweetened milk (we used @vitasoyph plus milky)
2 tsp rock salt
1/4 tsp white pepper
1. Pre-heat non-stick pan over low heat. Melt the butter and add the flour, stirring continuously to make a roux. Add the BISTEK TAGALOG, liquid seasoning, water, and rosemary. Simmer for 10 minutes.
2. In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the mashed potatoes and mix well until creamy.
3. Plate the beef steak, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. Serve with a slice of lemon. Enjoy!
