Ham and Cheese Baked Penne Recipe!❤
Absolutely love the carrot-potato cheddar cheese recipe by @simpleveganblog. Added another dimension to it by mixing in some Pale Pilsen while cooking. TGC sliced ham gave it a nice smoky taste, plus the toasted breadcrumbs some crunch.
Ingredients
5 cups prepared potato-carrot cheddar cheese (recipe link: https://simpleveganblog.com/vegan-cheese/)
1/3 cup Pale Pilsen
500g penne noodles, cooked al dente (tip: cook it 1 minute less than what it says on the pack)
6 slices TGC ham cut into thick strips
3 tbsp vegetable oil
Salt and pepper to taste
2/3 cup breadcrumbs
Procedure
1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
2. Heat oil on a nonstick pan over medium heat. Fry ham slices in 3 batches to prevent from sticking. Set aside.
3. Turn heat to low. Using the oil from the same pan, toast breadcrumbs until golden brown. Set aside.
4. Mix together cheddar cheese, beer, penne, and ham. Season to preference. Transfer to a baking dish and top with toasted breadcrumbs.
5. Bake for 20 minutes.
