Ginisang Petchay at Tinapa

Here's an easy Ginisang Petchay at Tinapa recipe you can make in less than 30 minutes!

1 bottle TGC Tinapa Flakes
1 tbsp vegetable oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium onion, chopped
4 tomatoes, chopped
2 tbsp soy patis
1 cup water
500 g petchay, sliced crosswise into 1-inch pieces
Salt and pepper to taste

1. Drain Tinapa Flakes in a colander. Remove carrots, pickles, and laurel leaves. Make sure to set aside the oil as you can use this later to flavor dishes like pasta and fried rice.
2. Preheat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté garlic, onions, and tomatoes. Add soy patis and water. Simmer covered for 10 minutes or until the tomatoes are tender.
3. Add drained Tinapa Flakes and petchay. Simmer for 3 to 5 more minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Serve immediately with steamed rice.
