5 Tips For Starting a Plant-based Diet

A plant-based diet is a great way to consume a variety of nutrients, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that helps your body thrive and function as its best.

Tip #1 

Go slow and let go of perfection it can be overwhelming to change your diet overnight and so going slow is good. Just try a few new recipes, maybe 1-3 recipes each week and when you're confident already with those recipes you can include those dishes in your family's weekly or monthly food routine. It's also important to know that you do not have to eat vegan to benefit from a plant-based diet while some people may choose to eat a vegan plant-based diet, as long as your diet is based on plants then you're eating plant-based. The key is to concentrate on having the majority of what you eat be plant-based so fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, whole grains, legumes, herbs, and spices also do not worry about eating perfectly sometimes people feel that they have failed if they don't follow eating a perfect plant-based diet is not realistic at all and sometimes you may feel super organized and on top of it and you may feel proud about your dietary choices, and there will be also times that you may just be super busy and frazzled and you may not make as many choices as you want, so give yourself a break, do your best but don't worry about eating perfectly.

They will likely be very excited for you or a great person that you can talk to about maybe things that you're struggling with or you have experienced along your plant-based journey.
